Stevenage and Woking slugged it out in this disappointing clash and it was Woking who will be happier with the point between these two relegation-threatened sides.
Before the clash it was clear it would be a real six-pointer for Stevenage who needed the three points to close the gap on their rivals from Surrey, but after just four minutes it looked likely to turn into a nightmare as the home side fell behind.
Chris Sharpling, Woking's man-of-the-match, created the chance when he charged through on goal only to be felled by Stevenage's Michael Warner who had given the ball away earlier on in the move.
Referee Richardson had no hesitation in pointing to the spot and after taking what seemed to be an age Dean Austin sent home keeper Mark Westhead the wrong way and drilled the ball neatly into the bottom right hand corner.
Sharpling could also have done better on the half hour when he burst clear on goal only to fire his strike at Westhead while Ben Townsend appeared set to strike goalwards when in the clear before being denied by a last ditch tackle for the ever present Goodliffe.
Stevenage looked set to go in a goal behind before the game turned a minute into added time when substitute Justin Richards fired the home side level touching in from close range following a Simon Wormull corner.
The goal came at just the right moment for Stevenage but they were unable to build on this success in a tepid second half in which nerves appeared to get the better of both teams as chances were at a premium.
Wormull flashed two efforts wide of the goal for Stevenage while Charlie MacDonald, who came on as a late replacement, also had a chance to clinch the match and he fired straight at keeper Robert Burch.
The home side were unable to make the vital breakthrough and although they didn't look strong Woking comfortably held on to the point which could prove vital in the end of season shake up.
